Why can't I read PDFs?

Many of our articles on the "In the Media" page are stored in a Portable Document Format or PDF. This is a standard created by Adobe to allow content to be preserved in its original layout for reproduction over the internet.

In order to read PDFs, you have to download a PDF reader from the Adobe website. This software is free and available for any operating system.

You can get a free Adobe Acrobat Reader here.

Once you have downloaded it and installed it, you may have to restart your web browser or your computer to use it.
